Pastor Rev. Ed Farrell-Starbuck
Pastor: Rev. Pastor Ed brings decades of faithful ministry, a deep love for Christ, and a passion for building meaningful relationships within the church and community. Raised in Methodist parsonages in Idaho, Massachusetts, and Maine, he earned a B.A. in English and Philosophy before experiencing a transformative call to follow Jesus and eventually to pastoral ministry. After receiving his Master of Divinity from Pacific School of Religion, he served congregations in California, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and throughout New England. Following his retirement in 2013, Pastor Ed continued answering God’s call through pastoral appointments and chaplaincy ministry, most recently serving churches in Rhode Island before coming to First Church Chatham. He and his wife, Cindy, have two adult children and four grandchildren, and they enjoy spending time in nature, reading, exploring back roads, kayaking, and fly fishing on Cape Cod. Pastor Ed looks forward to getting to know the congregation and sharing in God’s work together through worship, fellowship, and service..
