Dr. Thomas J. Gallen was appointed to serve as our pastor by our New England United Methodist Bishop in July 2020. He previously held this position from 1990 to 2001. Thom is a native of Pennsylvania where he grew up in the Lansdowne United Methodist Church, was ordained a Deacon in 1966 and an Elder in full connection in 1968.

He is a graduate of Lycoming College, Drew University School of Theology and holds a Doctor of Religion degree from the Chicago Theological Seminary. Thom has served parishes in Harrisburg, Pa., Allentown, Pa., Newton, Ma., Londonderry, NH., Brockton, Ma. and Chatham. He has been program director for the 300+ Methodist Churches in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, Director of Congregational Development for the National UMC and Executive Director of the Preachers’ Aid Society of New England. Thom, his fiancé and her four children live in Plymouth, Ma. His grown children and grandchildren live in Texas and Washington State.

Assistant Pastor Rev. Dr. Francis M. Gada (Sonny)

Rev. Dr. Francis M. Gada (Sonny) is now serving as Assistant Pastor to Rev. Thom.

 

He was ordained in 2009 as an interfaith Pastor, receiving his doctorate in Theology and divinity and metaphysical humanistic sciences.  Sonny has served as youth leader, Orleans UMC, and as Director of Christian Education at St. David's Episcopal Church.  He is also a Life Coach, Spiritual Awareness, with New Horizons.

Organist - Anna Glig

Ms. Ana Glig is our Church Organist/Pianist and Music Director. Ana is an award winning classical concert pianist praised for her “virtuosic command of works” and “ability to capture hearts.” Ms. Glig has performed internationally in Europe and the United States in solo and chamber settings. As a soloist Glig has appeared with the Georgian and Israeli (Rishon LeZion)  Symphonic Orchestras, and most recently with the Cape Symphony and Cape Cod Chamber Orchestras. Ms. Glig is a founder of MusArt interconnections, annual multi-media concerts, which focuses on synthesis of classical music and visual art. 

Ms. Glig holds a Masters' Degree in piano performance from the Mannes School of Music, New School (New York City) as well as an Advanced Certificate in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the NYU Steinhardt, New York University. 

Originally from Georgia (Republic), Glig now lives on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where she continues to perform, teach and work at the First United Church of Chatham. She makes the music program in our worship services inspiring and creative each Sunday morning.
