Worship at First United Methodist Church

Worship Schedule

Sunday Morning Worship (year-round) 10 a.m.

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.

If mission and outreach are at the heart of our life, then worship is the heartbeat of our life together. Here at First United Methodist you will find a worship experience that is both traditional in format and relevant in content. There is always an energy to our gathering that is infectious in spirit. We are an open, welcoming congregation eager to share and celebrate the joys of our faith with others.

Sunday School 10:15 a.m. (every Sunday)

Children are dismissed from the church service and taken to
the Library for a short lesson, songs, and an activity such as acting out a Bible story or doing a simple craft.  The church service and Sunday school will finish at the same time and will meet for Fellowship time.

Special Worship - Blessing of the Animals

Each year, on the first Sunday of October, we gather outside on the front lawn of the church to celebrate our "Blessing of the Animals" service which is open to anyone in the community. We begin the service at 1:00 pm and simply ask that you bring your pet-companion on a leash or in a carrier. All pets are welcome. We also include a time of remembrance for our beloved pets who are no long with us in this life but live on in our hearts and memories This "special event" for pet-owners is always a meaningful time of honoring these special creatures who bring us such joy and pleasure.
