Church Windows Refurbished

Refurbished Windows

Through the generosity of FUMC friends, stained glass windows in the First United Methodist Church Chatham were completely removed, restored and placed back in our sanctuary by friends and members of the Church within the last 15 years.

The windows are Tiffany style (but not Tiffany) and were installed in the 1890's through the generosity of Marcellus Eldredge, and after his passing, his relatives. They are classic Germanic glass patterns but made in New York City.

The two figures in the central windows are depictions of Mary with the baby Jesus and Joseph in his royal clothes after being sold into slavery and rising to power in Egypt.
