Summer Activities
LOBSTER ROLL SUPPERS
Lobster Roll Suppers are held every Friday evening (except on holidays) from the last Friday in June through Labor Day weekend. We serve in-house or take-out starting at 5:00 P.M. and until we run out (or 7:30 P.M., whichever is earlier). This allows our patrons to eat at their leisure and then walk to the Chatham Band Concert about one block away.
We use only fresh caught lobster meat - cleaned and cooked to our specifications. We use no frozen meat as filler.
Our Menu
Lobster Salad Roll
Cole Slaw Potato Chips
Beverages Home Made Brownies
A children's menu substituting a hot dog for the lobster roll,
is available at a reduced cost.
MUSIC FOR A SUMMER'S NIGHT
This series of Sunday evening concerts highlights a wide variety of top rated performers. The concerts start at 8 P.M. beginning on the last Sunday in June and running through Labor Day weekend.
Click on "Summer Schedule" above for a complete description of our 2012 offerings.
The concerts are sponsored by the church for the enjoyment of people in the community and our Summer visitors. An offering to help defray the cost of the program will be taken at each performance, a portion of which will support various church mission projects. Significant financial support for the concerts is provided by the "Friends of Music For A Summer's Night."
STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
Our annual Strawberry festival is a very popular activity which is held immediately following the conclusion of Chatham's Independance Day Parade. Usually the last of the parade passes in front of our church at about 11 A.M. and people rush to get in line so as not to miss out if we run short. We serve about 750 shortcakes each year, plus hot dogs, sandwiches and beverages.
Watch for our popular "Where Do You Come From?" chart upon entering. We have recorded people coming to our Festival from 49 States, 7 Canadian Provinces, and 18 Foreign Countries over the past twenty-one years.
ARTS AND CRAFT FAIRS
Our church sponsors two fairs each year, on the second Wednesdays of July and August. They are open from 9 A.M.. to late afternoon and feature all sorts of handcrafted items, jewelry, clothing, collectibles and more. Light lunch is available. Vendor applications may be obtained by clicking on "Application for Craft Fairs" .
YARD SALES
We run two church-wide yard sales each year, on the Saturdays before Memorial Day and Columbus Day, so, if you're looking for bargains, that is the time to show up. We usually have all the typical yard sale items, but, instead of one families offerings, we offer an entire church family of items. We also offer a gtreat barbeque lunch during the sales, so there is plenty to eat while you shop.
